Bootcamp Windows 10 Drivers Download
In my case the drivers hadn't installed correctly such that the boot camp menu did not appear in the system tray, but instead I was able to extract the contents of the Bootcamp.msi download into C:/Program Files/Bootcamp and then run the boot manager exe directly from Windows Explorer. A windows iso (I’m using windows 10, windows 8, 8.1 should work fine as well) Daemon tools for mac, download trial here. Tuxera NTFS,download trial here. An 8gb or larger flash drive. Latest bootcamp drivers for your model. Access to a windows PC (optional). I made a bootable usb and installed Windows 10 using it. It does have latest drivers too. Everything is working in it after installing Bootcamp drivers except the sound. I just get a red cross on the Volume icon in system tray and when I click on it, Windows starts to troubleshoot and the result always points that the hardware change might not. Installing Windows on a Mac should be a piece of cake with Bootcamp, but that rarely is the case. In fact, I would personally say that Boot Camp Assistant is one of the worst apps that comes with OS X and unlike the rest, it doesn’t work seamlessly. After you install windows you need to install the proper drivers from the apple software update to run windows 10 under bootcamp. The SFC command is just sfc /scannow and hit enter from an elevated command prompt ( + X ) click on command prompt (Admin).
Installed Windows 10 via bootcamp this morning on my early 2013 15' rmbp. Followed an instructional video on YouTube step-by-step and everything went fine until Windows itself started up. Brought me to the W10 homepage but unlike on the video I was watching, a pop up prompt from Bootcamp never appeared. I am now stuck in Windows 10 and cannot locate a Bootcamp icon anywhere and there is no option to turn on wifi in Windows 10 so I am also stuck without an Internet connection either seeing as I have no Ethernet port on my MacBook. Any help is greatly appreciated.
